Who you going to call? Ghostbusters!
The theme of the week at St. Marys was Halloween. The kids really liked that we dressed up for this day.I dressed up as a ghostbuster and I was asked by almost every kid what I was. I thought that they would know who I was haha I guess not. This was also the day that I got to start with the kids right off the start. This is a task because they are full of energy from being in school all day. It was a fun and learning experience.

Superheros
Today I was in the special project group and I had to make posters and put together a new TV stand for St. Marys. The posters are to help the kids understand the tasks the PE teacher is asking them to do.

Commandeering St. Marys
Commandeering St. Marys
The Pirate theme really got a lot of attention from the kids of all ages. The games that the gym group had the students played were very good. They were simple games that got the students to improve in skill but also get out all of the built up energy that they have from being in class all day. When I was down with the older kids building a sweet house. I got to see the kids making patterns with the different Lego's but at the same time still making the house. They asked me what kind of games we were going to play in the gym and I said we have a few for them to play, but the one game that they wanted to play was dodge ball the one game that we have been talking about in class. As we got them into the gym a lot of them didn't want to play the game because they were "Baby games." They said this even before we told them what the games were I found this funny because professor Yeng told us to expect that but I didn't think it would happen the first week.

First Day at St. Marys
When I went to St. Marys I didn't know what to expect. I didn't think the kids would take to us as fast as they did. We went out to the play ground and played tag, but you didn't play tag with a bunch of kids you played a individual game with every kid. I think by the end of the time on the playground I was it in about 8 different games. It was a great experience and I am looking forward to the rest of our time at St. Marys.
