Teaching? Isnt this the first day? Thats alright.

There are a few things that I would like to work on after watching this video. The first thing that i would like to do is to make myself talk louder so that my students will be able to hear me over the sounds of everything else that is going on in the gym. Also I would like to check my students better for understanding what I am asking them to do other than just saying "alright". I also need to be a little more detailed in the throwing and catching part, also while making it in to more of a game so the students stay more focused during the activity.

Last Day at St. Marys :(

Today I went out side and played kickball with the older students. They really got into the competitive aspect of it. I think i was benched about 4 times during the game because I was dressed as a elf but once it came time for us to score points I was asked to kick. The parachute games that we played with the students were a big hit. They were really a big hit with the pre-k especially when they got the chance to run under the parachute. This whole experience was great and I learned some points that will make teaching go smoother.

Gobble Gobble getting ready for Turkey Day

For the Pre-K group we had them get things ready for Thanksgiving like the Pilgrims did. First we had them said on the Mayflower then use scooters to get across the ocean To Plymouth Rock. Then once they landed they had to retrieve food to bring to the Thanksgiving dinner. The kids surprised me with the choice of food they picked to bring. I thought that they would pick the desserts first but they didn't. The desserts were almost last to go. The things that were last were the foods they didn't know.

Who you going to call? Ghostbusters!

The theme of the week at St. Marys was Halloween. The kids really liked that we dressed up for this day.I dressed up as a ghostbuster and I was asked by almost every kid what I was. I thought that they would know who I was haha I guess not. This was also the day that I got to start with the kids right off the start. This is a task because they are full of energy from being in school all day. It was a fun and learning experience.

Happy Halloween St.Marys
